The “Eid Cookies” initiative is a seasonal project held one week before Eid with the aim of reviving the traditional heritage of making Eid cookies (known as “Kleija”) by distributing them to children. It also includes organizing entertainment activities, competitions, and emphasizing the preservation of the cultural identity of traditional sweets among the youth. The initiative seeks to revive the rituals associated with Eid cookies in Raqqa city, preserving the local identity and the ancient cultural heritage they embody.
